Birstall United’s pitch was previously lit using outdated metal halide floodlights. These fixtures were no longer efficient, suffered from high running costs, and provided uneven illumination that fell short of modern standards. The club wanted a long-term solution that would both improve lighting quality and reduce operational overheads.
Working with Halliday Lighting, Birstall United upgraded to SITECO FL 11 floodlights. The project was carried out as a retrofit installation, removing the old metal halide fittings and replacing them with new LED units.
