February 2022 marks 60 years of business for Halliday Lighting. The company’s owners and directors are delighted to celebrate this significant milestone as Halliday Lighting continue to grow and we look ahead to this year and many more.
Founded in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1962 by John Halliday as J Halliday Electrical, the company started out in domestic electrical installation. Over the years, Halliday Lighting moved into commercial and government electrical fit outs before specialising in sports lighting in the UK market nearly 13 years ago.
Now, 60 years on, Halliday Lighting are a global lighting contractor delivering turnkey solutions for more than 250 projects each year across a number of sectors, including sports, airports, ports, and industries, such as oil, gas and mining.
Throughout the 60-year period, Halliday Lighting have maintained an office in Edinburgh with our second premises opening in Nottinghamshire in 2012 to increase accessibility to clients and projects across the UK.The business has also expanded internationally with the incorporation of Halliday Lighting Australia and the opening of its office in Dubai, UAE.
This milestone reflects Halliday Lighting’s continued commitment to growth, innovation and supporting clients around the world and in recognition of this special occasion, we will be running a programme of events and activities throughout 2022 to celebrate with colleagues, clients and our wider global network. It is still business as usual though, as we continue to deliver lighting projects for our clients around the world in what is already shaping up to be another busy and successful year for Halliday Lighting.
