Constructed by Wilmott Dixon, the Elmbridge Xcel Sports Hub is a state-of-the-art community leisure facility featuring two floodlit 3G pitches, a full-size grass football pitch, an athletics track and indoor facilities.
The external sports facilities were subcontracted to the specialised team at S&C Slatter who appointed Halliday Lighting as their sports lighting partner.
Halliday Lighting worked with the team at S & C Slatter to design, supply and install the external sports floodlighting for the artificial grass pitches and athletics track.
The Xcel Sport Hub provides an important community resource within the local area and is home to three football clubs and an athletics club as well as being available to other groups and individuals in the community.
Having floodlighting ensures that the sports hub can maximise the use of its outdoor facilities, help their clubs to develop and grow, and ensure access to sport and activity is available for a wide audience.
