At the birthplace of rugby 7s, the floodlit 3G pitch creates additional opportunities for Melrose Rugby and their local community.

In the Scottish Borders, the 3G pitch at Melrose Rugby provides an inclusive facility, which offers access to a variety of sports for all ages and abilities.
Following completion of the pitch, footfall increased to over 1000 people using the facility each week from the local community.
It has also been used by Scotland Rugby as a training venue.
Over 60% of activity is in the evenings, made possible by the LED floodlights.
Live streaming of the FOSROC Super6 Southern Knights fixtures is also now possible due to the installation of lights.
